Our Story

Daniel Perez: CEO/Founder and Visionary:

Born and raised in Aurora, Illinois, Daniel Perez founded Chicago LSD Radio with a deep passion for inclusivity and a commitment to uplifting underrepresented voices in the arts. As a gay Latino, Daniel’s personal experiences have shaped his vision of creating a platform where diversity thrives. After moving to Chicago, he saw a need for spaces that celebrate artists from all walks of life and provide them with the freedom to express their unique perspectives. His vision is driven by the belief that art, especially music, can unite people across communities.

Daniel’s leadership transcends boundaries, fostering a space where artists, regardless of background, come together to create, collaborate, and share their stories. His dedication to inclusivity is the heartbeat of Chicago LSD Radio, and his efforts have built a community where authenticity is not just encouraged but celebrated.

John Espinosa: Co-founder and Resident DJ:

John Espinosa, co-founder and resident DJ of Chicago LSD Radio, shares Daniel’s commitment to creating a diverse and welcoming artistic landscape. A passionate music enthusiast, John’s journey into DJing and curating events seamlessly aligns with Chicago LSD Radio’s mission of blending genres and championing queer voices. His dynamic sets and eclectic playlists reflect the essence of the organization—unapologetically bold, inclusive, and creative.

John’s role as resident DJ not only amplifies his talent but also emphasizes our dedication to elevating local performers. His presence behind the decks is a constant reminder of Chicago LSD Radio’s core mission: to provide a stage for those who might otherwise go unheard.
