My Story

Growing up my uncle would show me scratching videos, and always played mixes for me in the car. Ever since I found out what DJing was, I fell in love. I am truly inspired by the OG DJ scene and what DJing truly is. I remember hearing a Boiler Room set by the London DJ Mr. Thing, and the first time I heard just the first 5 minutes of the mix I was completely obsessed. The second set I ever watched was Kaytranada’s Montreal Boiler Room set on youtube. Seeing his technique and the way he was able to create such a masterpiece with a basic DJ mixer and headphones really inspired me to start pursuing my passion for music.

When I turned 15, I went to my first ever EDM festival which was North Coast in 2019 at Northerly Island. It was my first time ever seeing DJs live, and something just sparked in me. Growing up, I played a lot of instruments and was a band kid. I started making my own beats and short mixes in garage band when I was 10, and seeing these DJs doing live mixes really ignited this passion in me. I’ve been listening to EDM for a long time, but seeing it live and in person was just a whole different feeling. The energy was all there and it made me the happiest I’ve ever been.

I’ve been going to festivals ever since, and seeing DJs work their magic have been the best experiences I’ve had over the years. I remember watching a Youtube video I made when I was 10 pretending to be a DJ in my kitchen. Now, I am so proud to say that the little girl in me who started listening to EDM at a young age, who dreamed of being a DJ full time, has had her dreams come true.
